Iconography

This is really supposed to be titled “Icons” but an icon has become a computer word so it’s not allowed. I have a lot of thoughts about icons and images with text added but I’m keeping things simple. Both of these collages have words taken from Nietzsche, in Mick’s case, from The Birth of Tragedy. Mick is both Apollonian and Dionysian in turn so the quote seemed appropriate. The Marilyn quote is also Nietzsche, which I find amusing because Nietzsche would know about how the world before-the-thought is pure possibility. Marilyn represented an idea of beauty, beauty-as-promise, beauty-as-possibility; she represented the void before creation.
