Giraffes, Like Ladies Walking

It was Isak Dinesen (aka Karen Blixen), author of Out of Africa, who wrote, “A giraffe is so much a lady that me refrain from thinking of her legs, but remembers her as floating over the plains in long garbs, draperies of morning mist as mirage.”

As it turns out, now even the giraffes are going extinct. Once so numerous even a few generations ago, now, wild giraffes are rare. These images are an attempt to celebrate their beauty and uniqueness.
